Privacy Policy

This policy explains how ReviewCatcher ("we", "us") handles personal data. It covers two different situations, because our role changes depending on whose data it is.

1. Who we are

ReviewCatcher is a business registered in Ireland (RBN — registration pending), based in Rush, Co. Dublin, Ireland. For questions about this policy or your data, contact us at support@reviewcatcher.ie or +353 (87) 032 0993.

2. Two roles — please read this part

• When you contact us or use this website (you're a business owner, a lead, or a site visitor), we are the data controller — we decide how your data is used, and this policy applies to you directly.
• When we send review requests to a client's customers, we are only the data processor — the business that hired us is the controller of that data. If you received a review request or reminder text and want your details removed, reply STOP to the message or contact the business that serves you; you can also contact us and we'll act on their instructions. See our Data Processing Agreement for how we protect that data.

3. What we collect (as controller)

• Enquiry / contact data: name, business name, email, phone number and anything you tell us when you contact us or book a call.
• Client data: the information needed to provide and bill for the service.
• Website data: basic analytics (pages visited, approximate location, device/browser) and any cookies you accept — see the cookie note below.

4. Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To respond to your enquiry and provide the service — performance of a contract / steps prior to a contract.
• To send you service-related messages and, where permitted, occasional updates about ReviewCatcher — legitimate interests or consent, with an opt-out in every message.
• To meet tax and legal obligations — legal obligation.
• To understand and improve our website — consent (analytics cookies) or legitimate interests.

5. Cookies

We use only essential cookies by default. Any analytics or non-essential cookies load only if you accept them via our cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time in your browser settings.

6. Who we share data with

We use a small number of trusted service providers ("processors") to run the service — for example website hosting, email, SMS delivery and scheduling/automation tools. We share only what's needed, under contract, and never sell your data. A current list is available on request. Some providers may process data outside the EEA; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses).

7. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and client data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected and to meet legal/tax obligations, then delete it. Data we process on behalf of a client is kept only for the life of that engagement and deleted or returned when it ends.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, contact us at support@reviewcatcher.ie. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

9. Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date shows the latest version.
