Compliance Statement

Last updated: July 2026

ReviewCatcher is built to keep both us and our clients on the right side of the rules. This statement summarises the standards we work to.

Data protection (GDPR & Irish Data Protection Acts)

We handle all personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the Irish Data Protection Acts. When we process a client's customer data, we do so only as a processor, under a signed Data Processing Agreement, strictly on the client's instructions.

Electronic marketing (ePrivacy)

Messages we send on a client's behalf comply with Ireland's ePrivacy Regulations (S.I. 336/2011). We only contact individuals for whom the client has a lawful basis — typically existing customers who provided their details and were given the chance to opt out — and every message includes a simple opt-out (e.g. reply STOP), which we honour immediately.

Google review guidelines

Our method complies with Google's review policies. We ask every customer the same way, with no incentives and no "gating" (we never filter out unhappy customers or ask only happy ones). This keeps our clients' review profiles genuine and within Google's rules.

Security

Personal data is stored in access-controlled systems, encrypted in transit, and reachable only by the tools needed to deliver the service. We keep processing records and review our providers for appropriate safeguards.

Questions or concerns about our compliance can be raised at support@reviewcatcher.ie; data-protection concerns can also be escalated to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
